Amazing hosts, clean and comfortable rooms, spacious dining and common areas, beautiful location with stunning views. Enjoyed socializing with other guests and the opportunity to visit the farm. Delicious breakfast and great conversation with the owners. Convenient location for travelers on the Ring Road.
Rooms were a bit small and lacked sufficient storage space. Limited counter space in the bathroom was inconvenient.

The breakfast at this place was absolutely delicious, and the cozy breakfast room added to the charm. It was a great opportunity to chat with the owners and get some insights into the local culture. Plus, the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains added to the overall experience.
The room we stayed in was a bit plain and lacked any kind of wow factor. However, the beds were comfortable and the shower was good, so it wasn't a major issue.

The place is amazing! It used to be a stable long ago, but it has been converted into a huge guesthouse. the rooms are nice, all new and rebuilt. the breakfast was great, with a good variety of options. the location is also a plus, as it is only 30 minutes from Reyðarfjörður, where you can visit Búðará Canyon and Búðarárfoss. it is 50 minutes from Egilsstaðir and 2 hours from Stuðlagil Canyon.
One downside is that it can be quite hard to get to, but trust me, it is so worth it! the entrance to our room was upstairs with only outside access, and when it was wet outside, it was a bit of a challenge.

the owners welcomed us with open arms and were incredibly friendly. They even gave us valuable advice on which roads to take when we called ahead for a late arrival. the countryside surrounding the property is breathtaking, and we felt so comfortable and at home during our stay. We were unable to experience a horse ride this time, but we are already planning to come back to Iceland and Skorrahestar Villa is at the top of our list.
We highly recommend staying here for a truly enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Cons: Didn't dislike anything about the property.

This farmhouse guesthouse, located near a picturesque town, offers clean and comfortable guest rooms with adequate wifi. the highlight of the stay is the enchanting two-hour horseback riding tour led by the friendly retired school teacher host, who shares entertaining stories along the way. the property also boasts two friendly dogs that warmly welcome guests upon arrival.
While the breakfast may be modest, it is important to note that unexpected issues with the hot water supply during a shower can occur.

During my recent stay at Skorrahestar, I had the most amazing experience. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel like part of their family. The breakfast spread was diverse and delicious, and the communal areas were perfect for relaxing and socializing. The spacious bedrooms and individual bathrooms provided a comfortable and restful sleep. The entire house was spotlessly clean, and I even felt comfortable walking around barefoot. I left feeling refreshed and already planning my next, longer visit.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
